The OZEOS analytical platform supports both manufacturers and end customers since August 2022. Despite a short period of operation, many profile analyses, comparisons were carried out on the basis of which the best possible matching of production and demand profiles was selected for final customers. What have we observed?
During only 4 months, several dozen profile analyses were carried out on the OZEOS platform, at a volume exceeding 100GWh. These were primarily photovoltaic sources, which are currently the most popular source of production from RES, but also two large wind parks, which together generated almost 18 GWh of clean and green electricity. There were also analyses using a biomass source and a small hydroelectric power plant. Such sources are a very good filling in the customer profile.
Until now, the customers of OZEOS were producers from the FMCG industry, meat processing, property management or large commercial networks. The most frequently analysed cases are situations where the customer has multiple distributed collection points with a large annual volume of demand, with variable characteristics of each point. Thanks to many years of experience in the energy sector, RES specialists can handle such cases.
Thanks to analytical algorithms and self-learning skills, the platform can select sources of production that, not only cover the largest possible volume of demand, still select them so that the price and estimated savings in relation to the typical sales contract are as high as possible. Only such a fit gives noticeable savings to the customer.
From the cases analysed so far, it appears that the best fit can be achieved through a mix of several sources, differentiated by the type of production. Photovoltaic sources for customers with year-round demand usually cover about 30% of demand. Wind sources alone are able to cover up to 40% of the demand, but a properly selected wind source in the right mix with a photovoltaic farm allows to cover up to 75% of the customer's demand.

The platform gives the client knowledge of which measurement zones and in which hours of each day:
- which will cover energy from RES,
- the amount of energy he can sell,
- how much energy he will have to buy to secure 100% of his demand. With these detailed analyses and knowledge of price paths forward, the cost of electricity can be calculated. An additional advantage is that thanks to RES, customers are not worried about formalities. They are supported in the entire, long and complex process associated with PPA.
