Fixed price for PPA + balancing

By purchasing energy in a cPPA contract with a defined profile, e.g. photovoltaic or wind or in a so-called mix, we must balance energy with our company profile each time. Balancing services are carried out by the so-called POB Entity Responsible for Commercial Balance (this is the role of sales companies licensed to trade electricity). Energy that we have to balance is energy that at a given moment is not provided by RES sources, e.g. in night hours or days when the sun is not shining and the wind is not blowing. In such a situation, POB will buy on our behalf the necessary energy on the Good Energy Exchange. A similar situation will be when the RES sources contracted by us will produce more energy than we need in our company at a given time. The POB will then sell the surplus on the Freight Exchange. Such operations in the balancing situation of cPPA contracts will generally occur each day.

The final price of the energy purchased will be the commercial balance sheet, consisting of the following components:

[Women produced by RES x fixed contract price PPA] + [Women purchased energy from TGE x price] +/- [Women sold energy at TGE x price ] + balancing costs + certificates + excise duties.

In such a balancing solution, the final price of energy purchased from RES is known after the closure of each trading month. Of course, we know in advance its main price core, i.e. the price of energy from the cPPA contract, but depending on the coverage of the reception profile and the contracted volume, this can be between 50 and 80%. The rest of the components will be variable.
